H & I – Hospitals & Institutions

H&I Mission Statement

AA is a program of “attraction, not promotion.”  Those carrying meetings into H&I served facilities must remember the responsibility that sits before them.  WE must be the best of AA demonstrating and describing the program that saved our lives.  Often we only have a handful of meetings with each person during their facility stay.  Our mission is to attract all that attend to stay and continue with us following program completion.  Our words are nothing short of the bridge between AA and the facilities we serve.

The Hospitals and Institutions (H&I) committee delivers AA programs to hospitals, addiction treatment facilities, jails, mental health institutions and recovery homes.

The H&I committee needs a large network of volunteers to deliver over 20 AA meetings to various locations each week. If you are inspired to be part of this important work, contact the H&I committee chair via email, hospitals_chair@eviaa.org or call the EVI office at 541-342-4133. You are welcome to join the H&I committee at their 6 pm meeting held on the last Wednesday of every month at the EVI office (2160 W 11th Ave., Suite I, Eugene, OR 97402).

If you are a hospital or institution seeking to bring AA programs into your facility contact hospitals_chair@eviaa.org.

AA Responsibility Statement; “when anyone, anywhere reaches out for help, I want the hand of AA to always be there. And for that, I am responsible”.
